I know it has been awhile. Life is so crazy busy. So much has happened the last few months. In February Sean came home from Iraq for a visit. It was so great to see him. Holly and Hannah came up too. Hannah is getting so big. I really enjoyed her. She is talking so much now. She knows sign language which came in handy when I wasn't sure what she was asking for. Sean is such a good dad. I love to see him interact with Hannah. When he came home I was afraid that she would have nothing to do with him. Holly has really helped with always talking about Sean and Hannah kisses his picture every night before bed. When Sean got home Hannah went right to him. It was precious.

Kristyn is doing great. She started the new medication for her MS. She is giving herself shots in the stomach!!! This is my child that would faint when she was having labs drawn. Cory still gives her the one she gets weekly because it goes in the hip and she isn't ready to do it blinded. She has a great outlook on life and where she is at.

Cody is doing good. He is having a hard time finding a job. There just isn't much out here in the way of jobs. He is working clearing some property but it isn't steady. He is planning on going to tech school once he gets a job and things are more stable.

Em is in Arizona on vacation. The land of the sun. She turns 18 today! Where has the time gone? She will start college in the summer. She has been with Kristyn and is loving it. She wants a puppy really bad and has done some research. She has decided on a Boston Terrier. Problem is there are none to be found in Salt Lake under $800.00, ouch! We will just keep looking.

Kyle is still seeing Sierra. They are so cute. When she leaves he comes over and says. "Mom, is she not the sweetest girl?" I would have to agree. Kyle is still doing well in school. Over the spring break he and his dad went to the sand dunes. They love going out there and he loves going with his dad.

Robert is getting ready for his next contract job. He will either go to Alaska or Key West for 6 months. He is still in the negotiating phase. It's a no brainer for me, Key West, and I'll visit! He is building another sand rail. This one is a five seater. It will be a lot of fun when it's completed. He loves building those things.

I am still working like crazy. Our agency keeps getting bigger and bigger. It's great and I love my job. I finally was released from my foot surgeon's care. I started a healthy program of getting back into shape again. So far I have lost 24 pounds! I love going to the gym. I might not run again but I'm walking (I haven't thrown my boot out quite yet). The great thing is I'm walking without a limp or pain. It has taken fooorrrreevver!

1/13/09 She gets to keep her finger!

We are happy to say that Em gets to keep her fingertip! We went to the doctor today to see if her fingertip was going to get to stay on. Her finger is healing well. It looks so much better than just 2 days ago. The tip is nice and pink. Warm too. I get to take the sutures out in about 9-10 days. When I told her that I would remove the sutures myself she just stared in shock. Hello, I do this kind of stuff for a living. She by no means would be the first or the last. On a serious note we are thrilled and grateful everything has gone so well. She is taking her antibiotics like she is suppose to so she should continue to keep healing.

1/11/09 Back to the Hospital again! Pictures below. Beware they are bloody.

So this is what happened. I am sitting in Sunday School when one of Em's friends comes in with a frantic look on her face. She tells me that Em has broke her finger. I go into the classroom and Em has her face in the trash can with blood dripping from the tip of her finger. She was moving her chair and then sat down without moving her finger from the folding part of the chair legs. Now the problem is I have to teach Relief Society next hour. I'm thinknig to myself, we can just wrap it up and I'll take her to Urgent Care when church is over. Then I get a good look. Oh boy, we have a problem. Now several people have come to help. You know, the mormon telegraph. Everyone was so kind and worried. Of course the fact that she started hyperventilating wasn't helping. Then the vomiting in the trash can (remember she is still in the sunday school class) begins and I know she is about ready to pass out. We start breathing excersices to keep her from dropping and then I realize she is about to get shocky. We drop her to the floor and raise her feet. Somehow during all of this the bishop and Bro. Coleman give her a blessing (yep, Robert was out of town again). We get her in the car via wheelchair and off to the Emergency Room we went. By the time we arrived the pain has really kicked in and she is about done. The nurse doing the traige tells us all the beds are full, of course. The nurse was great and went and got the doctor who came out and... was the same doctor who saw Kristyn a couple of weeks ago! She gave her a block to get things numb, thank goodness. We were in soon after and the pictures tell the story. We irrigated for about 10 minutes. You can see she is much happier. The doctor came in to suture her up (we didn't get a picture of that, sorry). The X-ray showed she broke the tip of the bone. The doctor said she wasn't sure at first if she could save the tip but there seemed to be good profusion so she thought it was worth a try. She has a high risk for infection but has antibiotics for that. She will get it checked in 2 days and we will see if things are good. The doctor said after treating both of our daughters she felt like part of the family! She was awsome. The nurse tells Em while doing the discharge that there were only two things he forbade her to do. No picking her nose or flipping people off!

Celine Dion

I love Celine. My family teases me all the time about listening to her. On New Year's Eve I made everyone watch her concert on cable. Kristyn and Aunt Reenie were terrible with all their jokes about how Celine dances, the moves she makes with her fingers. Totally rude! Kyle absolutely can't stand her and actually gets in a bad mood if he has to listen to her in the car! I have always wanted to see her in concert, however I couldn't afford Vegas tickets. Robert got me tickets to see her in concert here in Utah. I am sooo excited. Of course Rob wont go see her with me, he doesn't like her either. Thank goodness for Em! She understands the talent Celine has. We have had many concerts with Celine singing back up while driving. Em of course said yes when I asked her to go. I can't wait. I'll let you know how it goes. Feb. 22nd, we'll be there!

I finally get to see Celine! Rob got me tickets for Christmas. You have no idea how excited I am.
